We live within a culture that often attempts to define who we are and what our lives should be about.
Sunday services and bible studies allow us to gather in order to remind ourselves and each other who we are and whose we are within the reality of the Gospel.
Through worship music, singing, Biblical teaching, sharing stories of hope, laughing with one another, encouraging each other, we remind ourselves of Jesus’ great love for us, our neighbors and city. We can move into our weeks strongly rooted in God and His calling upon our lives in NYC.

Who We Are
We are part of the Evangelical Covenant Church family. The ECC is a rapidly growing multiethnic denomination in the United States and Canada with ministries on five continents of the world. Founded in 1885 by Swedish immigrants, the ECC values the Bible as the word of God, the gift of God’s grace and ever-deepening spiritual life that comes through a faith with Jesus Christ, the importance of extending God’s love and compassion to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity.
The Evangelical Covenant Church is:
- Evangelical, but not exclusive.
- Biblical, but not doctrinaire.
- Traditional, but not rigid.
- Congregational – not independent.
We hold to the essential orthodox Christian beliefs expressed in the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed, as well as the Evangelical Statement of Faith.
Our Beliefs are the Following:
- The centrality of the word of God.
- The necessity of the new birth.
- A commitment to the whole mission of the church.
- The church as a fellowship of believers.
- A conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.
- The reality of freedom in Christ.
